Family Violence Reform Implementation Monitor’s third report

Family Violence Reform Implementation Monitor’s third report, tabled in Parliament today - 18 February 2020.

The Family Violence Reform Implementation Monitor’s third report, tabled in Parliament today, examines implementation progress over the twelve months to November 2019. Areas of particular monitoring activity included:

  • Specialist Family Violence Courts
  • Multi-Agency Risk and Management Framework (MARAM)
  • Perpetrator accountability within the system
  • The Orange Door
  • Voices of victim survivors
  • Whole-of-reform matters

The Family Violence Reform Implementation Monitor, Jan Shuard, said the Victorian Government’s numerous partnerships with the Victorian community and the family violence sector showed strong focus to embed a culture of co-design and ongoing improvement across the system.

“I have felt the dedication, commitment and drive of those I have met across government and its community sector partners to create the best possible service system responses for the victim survivors of family violence,” Ms Shuard said.

The report identifies major achievements over the monitoring period along with areas that would benefit from further attention as the reforms progress.
